Welcome back to the Oppositelock Cool Wall! In this bi-weekly series, we take a look at five cars and vote for their position on the cool wall. This series mimics the now-defunct Top Gear Cool Wall.
As expected, the Accord, Camry, and Altima were seriously uncool, and the Optima was just uncool. The Mazda made it to the cool section by a landslide. Again, I probably have poor taste in cars :(

Its too reliable, too conservative, too well made, and too well equipped for a mid sized jalop sedan. Therefore, its uncool. Nothing to write about on these forums. Oh it might get an amazing consumer reports score, but that’s like showing off your date to your parents - you highlight those easily tangible things like money and education and status and conservativeness etc......but then around your friends its all about your sexcapades and misadventures.
If the Honda accord was a person it is the kind that thinks doggie style is kinky. If the Mazda 6 was a person its the kind who wants to have sex in a treehouse. After several glasses of homemade sangria. And a 10 mile hike where you stopped halfway to make out in a shallow creek because you stopped to tie your shoe and then things just sorta escalated from there.

If I had to write a story, and had to specify which car the villain drives, it’d have to be a white Infiniti QX80/QX56. It’s menacingly huge, flashy, and plain ol’ barbaric looking. Also because I hate SUVs of all kinds.

I actually don't hate the Lexus for once, I would go so far as to say the spindle grill looks good on it. I wouldn't say it was cool, but it isn't really uncool either.

Crossovers, mainstream or luxury, are just uncool. Range Rovers are uncool, because of who buys them, but Defenders are sub zero. Badge-engineered Lexi are seriously uncool, but Land Cruisers are cool.

the 40-series are definitely cool... and maybe the 70 series. but are they really an SUV? . same goes for the Defender and the Simca. Cool ‘cause they’re actually useful and not tainted by the suburban soccer mom stigma?
200 series are definitely uncool. Way too expensive and they’ve lost their reliability image.
